Story of Helen Kelly
A Life in Words
Helen has always loved the written word but as a child found it difficult and although growing up she has a desire to write a book she didn't think she was intelligent enough. How could she write a book when she wasn't even trusted to use a handwriting pen in school? At the age of 29 Helen was diagnosed as being dyslexic and since that time she has achieved an undergraduate degree and three history master's degrees. This reignited her love of writing and in 2021, she achieved that goal by becoming an author when her first romance book was published. Like many people Helen has a lot of life experiences and interests, she uses some of these in her books.
Helen is a member of the Romantic Novelists' Association in April 2024 Helen took on a volunteer Role within the RNA as their Membership Secretary. Helen is also a Member of the Society of Authors and Promoting Yorkshire Authors. Helen also reviews theatre shows for the Northern Arts Review.
